Thats not bad. My main crit is that since the text is black then sitting it on dark grey mountains is going to make reading it a little difficult. You could move the text to the side or add a glow effect around the letters of a color that is similar to the background so as to shield them from the grey mountains.
I agree, put a white border around the text, or move it off the mountains. Maybe add some shading over the region that is Mordor as if it were a watercolor/antique tinting so there is some definition about what is "mapped" and what isn't (Here be Dragons).
I agree with the previous posters and would like to add that the mountains could use a little more density. Right now you can see the individual symbols pretty clear wchich gives the mountains a look of uniformity. Rigth above "Mordor" it looks much better. Otherwise... keep going ;)
