Absolutely great!
Here is Māinṃ. It's a world I started to build on for a small game project.
This thing devoured all my free time for a few weeks, until I got to a boring part (lettering), when I didn't work on it too much for a couple of weeks, but now I got back to it and it's basically done enuff.
If you want to know more about this particular world, check out the WIP thread.
Facts:
Diameter: around 18 000 km
Map projection: no projection
Programs used, in order of most useditidy:
GIMP (most everything to do with land-masses, and the mountains, trees, etc.)
Inkscape (graticule, geometric figures, straight lines, the small heraldic emblems, the corner diagrams)
MyPaint (lettering and the later small pictures)
The writing script: Latin-derived miniscule, original for this project, made by me.
Language on the map: Proto-Finnic etymological forms w/ modern Finnish syntactic and morphological constructions run through a set of sound-changes.
Absolutely great!

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.

I have no idea what you are talking about. That last quote wasn't real! What is happening here?![]()
Heh heh, funny, man.
If the radiance of a thousand suns was to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...I am become Death, the Shatterer of worlds.
