What's with the opaque lite on the top continent?

Glaciers/Ice, I presume. Although it's transparent, not opaque... and I'm not sure how you can have a forest on a glacier.Originally Posted by eViLe_eAgLe

Assuming I stick with fantasy cartography, I'd like to become a World Builder, laying out not only a realistic topography, but also the geopolitical boundaries and at least rough descriptions of the countries and societies.

Snow area. It'd be a forest of pine trees and such. I omitted glaciers and ice shelves since it cluttered the map.
I really like this, and I will be using it and writing in my own stuff.

congrats on your first map ... for future reference please upload via the forum-uploader (press go advanced) - it automatically makes a thumb and the picture is hosted on the forum servers, so if photobucket is down or closed we'll still be able to see the picture with the post
