The World of Avatar (My First Map!)

Hello All!

This is my first mapmaking project. It is a rendition of the World of Avatar as shown in Avatar the Last Airbender. I used Paint.NET. I hope you guys like it!

Not bad at all for a first map! Not sure off the top of my head which of the GIMP and Photoshop tutorials could be ported over to Paint.net, but take a look at a few of them and see what you can use. All I can suggest otherwise is trying to make clear where your forested areas are (as opposed to grasslands)

Thanks! I'll look at a couple tuts on this site and try to use one of the forest making techniques. I think I saw a really good tutorial on forests. Thanks though! However, I have one question. By making it clear where my dorests are, do you mean to actually add forset like details to it (like darker, more bumpmapped areas) or just m,ake it darker?

Well either would be helpful, but I meant the former. I think that would be a more significant improvement.
