(Interesting idea incorporating real-world boundaries into a fictitious map -- had me scanning the coastlines for familiar shapes!)
Hi all,
When I got into map making I found this forum soon after! Most of my maps are a fluff item for my D&D campaigns.
I found a lot of inspiration here on these forums as well as the great mapping elements which I was able to use for the following map.
Telrunya is supposed to be Elven for "Flanders", which is where I was born.
In this map you will find shorelines and borders from Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, India, regions from Africa and Prince Edward Island.
I made this map using Photoshop and various mapping elements from prominent members of this community. So thank you all for being such an inspiration.

Pretty impressive work!
That turned out nicely! Welcome to the Guild. I hope your party has fun exploring your world.

Thank you Arsheesh!
Very nice map, this is the type of map I want to create for my book.
Great use of real world-ness. I'm a big proponent of looking to the real world for queues and ideas.

The map is good looking and well detailled even when the use of real geographic content is a little irritating. Good idea and solid work
That's really pretty. Any chance of a larger version? The details (like rivers) are very hard to pick out.
