Town Map:
This is based on Monet-Dubrovnik Harbor, Croatia. I was inspired by Monet-Dubrovnik and wanted to draw it - or my version of what it must have been like before moderization.

Thanks guys - I loved doing this one. It was a little different than just drawing whatever shapes and buildings I wanted ... I studied the town, opened it up on google maps =D and tried to really do every wall, tower, bridge and major building justice. Heck, I even drew in the rocks I could see on the shoreline =D Loved doing that and really looking forward to drawing another real-world historical location.

As someone who has spent countless hours drawing little irregular shaped boxes I can appreciate how time consuming this type of map is. Beautiful Work !!

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.
