Looks really good (very painterly), though it could do with some label's and a compass rose and such. Good to see you back as well. I hope you will continue to do more work in Cartography in the near future.
Cheers,

Hey everybody, it's been over a year since I last did some cartography and it felt great to get back into it. I tried out a new style compared to my older work, it's fairly rough cause I didn't want this to be a time sink but I'm happy with the final result.
I'm up for the harshest of critic to improve this one, enjoy!

Beautiful!!

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.

I really like the style of this map. Even though I'm fairly new here, I'd say that this map would benefit most from very scarce map-type details, like labels and compass roses, but that opinion might be a minority. Nice job.
That is a beautiful map! It looks like a painting in its own right (a land seen from above, not necessarily a map...). I do not know how it would look like with typical map elements like labels added. I am curious how you would incorporate them into this wonderful piece however.![]()
Really beautiful!
Besides the lacking labels a very good map.
Thanks for the comments guys! This was sort of a study in the painterly style but now I'm convinced to actually add some labels and a good ol' fashion compass rose. Stay tuned for an update!

I'd put that in frames and hang it on my wall
Awesome work and well worth repping!
