Very nice. I imagine the placename translations come from Silmarillion or something...but have absolutely no recollection of my reading of that book. I read it but it felt too much like studying.

This commissioned map shows Gondor around 2000 years before the War of the Ring (specifically, 1149 Third Age, the first year of the reign of King Atanatar II).
I really enjoyed to create the map together with the client, who also delivered the translations of the place names. I had to assemble details of various existing maps into this one.

Excellent (as always !) and very pleasant to see a Middle-Earth map of another age!
Maps are a good way to support and picture history, in real life as in fantasy !
Awesome as usual Sap. This one really makes me smile. Middle Earth was my first trip into fantasy and I've never really come back.![]()

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.

Great map! And it's always nice to see something "Middle-Earth related".![]()
Lovely map, Sap. I'm always partial to a bit of Tolkien.![]()
Royal: I'm very sorry for your loss, your mother was a terribly attractive woman.
