    Default The Empire of Kardyn

Map done in photoshop, just for my own pleasure (and to improve skills).

The background I imagined on this one is this:
the empire of kardyn: a land of intrigue and battles.
While the precarious balance of power pushes the noble families to shifting alliances, the Church of the Sun Flower aims to gain more and more influence on the choices of the emperor.
And while the Inquisition makes a clean sweep of the religious opponents, someone among the people began to push for a radical change.
Is this the beginning of a revolution? Or is it just a reshuffling of powers? The empire will eventually split or will it maintain its unity around a powerful new emperor?

Feedback (amongst all negative ones ) are really appreciated, as I'm trying to learn, and critiques are fundamental. I know it would be better to post some WIP; maybe in the future, having more time and maybe joining the light contest on this site.

Well, I would add a dark line to your coastline and make your two sea lines more "curvy" and natural ; plus add a dark contour around your shields.

Apart of those little improvements : I like the map, it's well done, good and harmonious colours and drawings. Good mountaines and forests... In brief : a fine map to me.

Looks pretty good fabio. I would add that bright solid colors of your shield, scale and compass are somewhat at odds with the gentle, light faded colors of the rest of the map. Still, a very nice job.

    Cheers,
