    Map Rivendale

After following Grandwarf's excellent tutorials for CD3 I had an idea to try and emulate the CD3 map I created in Photoshop and Illustrator. See the original thread here: Emulation Project
After about a week of trying this and that I can up with the finished map of Rivendale.

Well, that turned out very beautiful. I love the fact that you kept the layout mostly like in the tutorial
Anyway, you got yourself a very nice style here. Really like the trees and the little touches, like the stones in the water.

Great way of using an existing tutorial and putting your own spin on it.

    Bravo!

I love the trees! They work really well on this scale. Any chance you could walk us through how you made them?

One thing I've noticed is that there seems to be no definite light position here. Shadows on the trees and houses go in several directions.

    Otherwise it looks really nice.

Good job, but I do echo the comment on the shadows.
