now, I personally know the stuff in there already so I jumped a little towards the end... but he spends a lot of time idolizing his own skill/view of the world. And actual advice you can use in a real job (where things go fast and you have a budget) are sparse... but you can learn a little about A-series paper sizes, grids and typography (a little) - so for a beginner there is some info in there.
