The lines in the water is just the result that is produced with a given water-texture. My "usual" water texture doesn't produce them ;)
I just released an early demo version that showcases parts of what I've managed (and obviously what I haven't!).

It only works on 64-bit windows for now, unfortunately.
Some have reported an error after map generation is finished, but in those cases the maps are still produced and located in C:\Temp\
ill try that once i get home from work. always interested to try out generators
A little update. I just added functionality for seamlessly stiching maps together into indefinitely large maps. So now you can create maps as big as you please :)

Good on ya for the zoom feature! That's typically how I build: broad strokes so I have a concept of how everything fits together, then fine detail for individual places/cultures.
