Not sure how those tools adapt to mapping outside of the App environment but at $800 dollars off I figured it might be worth mentioning here.

The unity engine has always had a free version. looks like their android and iOS addons are on sale until April 8th. im grabbing them now. Thanks for the post =)

Thanks for the heads up! I was disappointed not to have access to iOS and Android when I first downloaded Unity a few months ago. Of course, it may not matter if I never get off my butt and actually design some assets…

Excellent. I have been thinking about this for a while myself because I have two game ideas I want to create. I just don't have a clue where I am going to find the time to do them. But hey, at least now I have made a step forward.
