alphanumeral maps

i was browsing through this charity auction exposition of sketches by architects -

and noticed this lovely thing

i gave it a quick try myself (font is OCR-A to save you searching.. with a bit of filtering, mainly stamp) off course mine sucks in comparison but it seems promising.

there's a quick, creative way to map out a medieval town or dungeon or.. stuff... process it enough and you've got anythnig you want i guess.
