I have just found these, they are a realy interesting way of making maps.
Mike is one of my very favorite map artists.

What I found interesting when talking to him was how valuable his training in art has been for making his maps. He's found a perfect mix for his fine art training and love of travel and geography.

Finished Maps
Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.
