They don't come very much better than this. This fourth pic is Gourdes in Provence, France.
It's crying out to be mapped in a fantasy way!
The last one is some sort of abandoned hilltop fort / city we passed along the road.
And the fist one is the 'Alpilles' I really wish I'd got more but we ran out of time. It's real D&D land.
Oh and a monastry courtyard.
The third one is a bit more pretty architecture!

In the Campaign Cartographer Annual for last year, there was a hill town in Italy called Panicale. The annual provided top down and isometric view maps.
