    Question PS : swamps and jungle ?

    Hello,

    I work on my first world map with Photoshop, inspired by the "Saderan" tutorial.

    But I need a swamp and a jungle texture/effect to complete the map.
    Do you have the "how to" ?

    I would just copy the same techniques used for doing the large grassland areas but use a darker green or maybe a teal. That way it stays the same in terms of style.

    Ok, I found how to make credible swamps :
    - new layer (over land & grass)
    - layer fx : bevel & emboss / pillow emboss (size 3, soften 3)
    - paint with a spatter brush, water color, 100 % (small touches)
    It's visually acceptable, and easy to reproduce.

    But I'm not satisfied with the jungle. So, one more try...


    I will post a WIP when I'd recover my personal uploading space password, lol !

    You don't need personal space to upload; just use the Go Advanced button and then the Manage Attachments button. Arcana is very generous with allowing us space to upload our projects
