Un named regional map
I started this a little while ago but I had a hard time figuring out how to make tree's and Mountain's to fit in with the land and water style (no tutorial's followed for this).

Note: The brown smudges are were the mountain range's will be placed. They will most likely be moved and or changed or deleted entirely.

I think this works well at the micro level as well. I looked and saw just a snapshot of a section of river with a handful of outcroppings. Smudges are marshes and with some different colors it works as an encounter map almost as is.

Mountains can be done with standard triangle-shadowed-minimalistic slyle. Because of black lines in sea it must work nice.

Oh I know I have used those Mountain's. I haven't just been able to make them work.

Something like this doesn't work?

The "fuzzy caterpillar" style might work OK on this map, as well:

The reason why I didn't pick the upside down V mountain's is that it is hard for me as I don't have a tablet and I have very shaky hands.
-
Dude, don't worry about shaky hands - mine are almost as bad as Charles Schulz (Peanuts). Just draw things bigger than you need them and then shrink them down a bit...that's what I do.
