Thread: Make Topographic maps

Starting with a heightfield, use something like Photoshop. Use the Posterize adjustment to get the number of contours, followed by the Find Edges filter convert the posterized image into contours. I then did a fade operation to get the slight background in there:



After that it's labeling and decoration.
