    Default river vs road in a bw regional map

    I am trying to make a black and white regional fantasy map and I am getting stuck on making a distintion between rivers and roads. Does anybody have any tips or suggestions on how to do this?

    You could use a dotted line for the roads.

    Or a double line for roads. Or rely on tapered rivers versus constant-width roads. Might help to see the style of the rest of the map.
