Need help with Newb Tut using GIMP

Hello

I'm new here and trying out my mapping skills via one of your great tutorials. I'm using Gimp so I'm using the following Tut.

However I'm stuck near the beginning... bah!

I've attached My current image, however I'm on Post4 Part2. Where I've already created the Land Noise layer and set it to overlay, I've also created the Land Clip set it to lighten and started adjusting color levels. As I understand It there should be some of the land Noise layer showing once I lower the white levels. Yet I see nothing... any ideas???

I answered in the main thread - if that didn't help you will have to upload the xcf file somewhere (or here as a zip) as it is extremely difficult to troubleshoot from a screenshot.
