    Default How do I do ship planks in GIMP?

    Hi everybody,

    any idea how I can create a texture of ship planks like those shown in the link below?

    I don't like the wooden textures already available in GIMP, they look too realistic. I would like to have some kind of painted style like from the Stormwrack link.

    Hi sunfest I don't use GIMP but PS, but I think with GIMP you could just draw one 'tile' within a square using a snap to grid to help you and they would tile naturally. Then just use the resulting imgae as a pattern fill. I've knocked one up for you in PS together with an example.
