Dolmen Creative seeking cartography artist

We here at Dolmen Creative are looking for a fantastic cartoartist (cartographer/artist). Not just any cartoartist, but the best of the best of the best. The "chosen one" must possess all of the following qualifications:

• HUGE sense of humor
• ability to follow direction
• must be a communicator
• talent, talent, talent (seasoned vet, absolute n00b, or anything in between is ok)

The Job: help us create our dark fantasy world map
Time Constraints: the final final must be complete before October 1, 2010
Style: we like the hand-drawn style maps of Forgotten Realms and the old Warhammer Fantasy RPG (see attachments)
The Map: this map will be a world map of 2 arctic poles, 5 oceans, 4 continents, a large number of archipelagos, and a special "twist" that only the artist we hire will know about
Quality/Size: full color that also works well for greyscale, will be used in website, PDF, and print medias - 10 x 16 in - 300dpi RGB png
Copyright: we will have the right to use the image for commercial purposes, but you will have the right to exhibit the map as part of your portfolio (not for profit or resale)
Payment: by PayPal within 30 days of verified completion

How Much? That's all depending on the artist. We are happy to discuss rates with our artists. Please email us at info@dolmen-studios.com with the subject: World Map Cartoartist (this will help it get past the spam filter) with the following information:

• rate information
• links to at least 2 samples of the style we are looking for

Dolmen, are there any maps here(or anywhere on the internet) that catch your eye style wise? This can be important as not all the people here are gamers and may not be familiar with the specific map styles you requested.

I would like to thank everyone that replied to this call. I now have a large number of cartographers to choose from and I will be emailing each of you shortly with my decision.
