Here's a possibility for the rainforest vegetation. The thicker palmy stuff by the river may be too much, I'll let you give your own opinion on that, but for the trees... They're a bit taller with high canopy and some fern-ish shrubbery lower down. I also did another palm tree top-right, and I still think it looks like an extension of the desert... :| (blank skepticism)

the big new trees look great! keep them :) Maybe ther should be more of them to look like a big rainforest. the zones along the big river are good, too! :)
Alright, I'll finish them up.
Actually, before I draw all of them in (not very friendly and accommodating forest, this)... is it too thick, or just about right?

I dont know. On the one hand its looks very nice, but on the other it doesnt fit with the rest of the map
I know. That's why it's frustrating me. I'll keep working on it.
I'm sorry for the wait. My computer crashed and I just got it back from the repair man. Haven't reconnected the external drive with all my files or re-installed programs, so it might be a few more days before I can get anything done with the map. I apologize.
Had to recreate my brush preset (now I'll know to back that folder up with the rest of my files), and I decided to go with palm trees, with a bit of scribbley underbrush to differentiate it from the desert. The perspective is working better than the flat trees, anyway. If you're happy with it, I'll move the tree layers back to the original file so the ocean label typo gets fixed... and call it a wrap. =)
