Post zoomable Town -Village map request

    Hello,
in our language course, we have a small town (village) called Merryville. I have drawn a map of the place by hand, but the result in not satisfying. I've looked into software but frankly the learning curve is too great for my humble purpose of 1 map. The map needs enough detail, so that the different places (Hospital, Post Office, Elementary School, Shops, Streets) are visible and labeled. Individual houses should be visible, too and not all identical, though no 3d image is necessary: 2d shapes should suffice The idea is to have a zoomable image over which different icons and labels can be placed. There's a river, a lake and a bit of countryside included.
The image will be used as posters, so it has to be pixelated to blow up to full poster size.

Thank you for quoting an approximate price or e-mail me to discuss it : greenstuder[AT]gmail.com

Here are some examples I found on this site. The map could also be an inclined view where one sees the buildings.

as far as copyright is concerned :
I will have the right to use the image for commercial purposes, the artist will have the right to exhibit the image as part of his portfolio but not to exploit it for commercial gain.

    Thank you for your consideration.
