    Very nice!
A technical note on flags. The British Union flag of 1776 would not have had the red saltire of Ireland - St Patrick's cross. This was added in 1801 after the Act of Union. Nit-Picky, but some people get nerdy about these things! (WHo me????)

Really lovely and clean - love the colours. Just one observation: the type might be 'too clean'. Try putting the tiniest bit of black outer glow on the type to suggest inkbleed. Might also be worth trying a font which is slightly distressed around the edges like antique roman.

    Beautiful work!

Thanks for the compliments!! Unless there are any big mistakes, I am calling it finished. I think the biggest update is the addition of the key. It is quite big because I had a big space to fill.

@ Crayons: Thanks for the tip! I didn't realize the difference of the two flags, because they look so similar.

@ Ravells: I made the "ink" bleed by using a Gaussian Blur less than 1 px. I have some faded/distressed fonts, but they look really messy when there are many words. This map of the Battle made in October of 1776 (as well as most old maps) has pretty clear serif characters and I think that they were handwritten. The ink did not bleed in the last WIP because it wasn't finished.

That looks so much better with the bleed. Are you going to do the same with the coloured text too? Now I can see the end result I agree it's a lot better without a distressed font.
