September/October Entry: The Town of Veegiay
So, after a vector map that I tried very hard to make look like it wasn't done on a computer in the last challenge. Here's the opposite, a map in the style of an early 90's computer game.
In particular I'm using the colour pallet from Ultima VII. I'll also be using a similar oblique projection for the buildings, though there's obviously a difference in the scale.
I'm not really the best there is at pixel art, so we'll see how it goes.

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.

good idea. Suggestion so far would be to remove some of the "curve' on the paths. I would suggest hard edges - it gives it a more bit-mapped feel.
