September-October Challenge: Carte de Nouvelle Reims (ancien New York)
Second Entry. Great Britain lost one of its wars against the French and now most of the former British colonies are French territories.
Maybe I will need the help from some native French-speakers as my school knowledge of French is rather dusty.

Reims isn't a word to begin with. But basically you should decide if they adapted the same name or changed it when they took over management. Maybe it could me Nouveau-Paris or something.

Reims is no less a city than Paris. The French kings used to be crowned there.
I was not aware I thought he was trying to do a literal translation of a word. My bad.

This was exactly my reason for the name
First idea for the crown territory of Champagne Occidentale with its capital, Nouvelle Reims.
Rivers and elevations added.
