May/June 2011 Lite Challenge Entry: Solaris
Well, it wasn't easy to get myself to enter this challenge since the other entries are so great. But since I just read the book and I played around with the cloud tutorial and the challenge is running I thought that this is the best place to show this map. If anyone read the book, too, and has suggestions for places of interest I would be happy to include them.

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.

A very fun entry, I like it especially because of its relevance to a book (though I haven't read it myself, maybe I should).
I've always loved maps that are included with or created for literature, they are the perfect form of illustration because they encourage the imagination rather than replacing it.
