Mar-April Entry SAT-RECON CZAKO ISLANDS

Composite Satellite Recon photos of the Czako Islands on Pars Planaris in the Fovea Centralis System.
Priority: establish a high security research center outside of Central Control.
Goal: genetic manipulation of unknown organism found by deep-space probe.
Assesment: What could possibly go wrong?

I started with the InkBlots from Jaxilon, grabbed a bunch of textures from cgTextures, and did a lot of Cut-n-Paste.

Cool... glad you entered the challenge.

That's pretty impressive how you just layered those together and got a great effect. The only thing that jars my eyes is the way the land and sea hit one another. Could you have some of the sea bed showing up through the water? I think if you can pull it off that would be pretty cool and help tie everything together.

Thanks, I see what you mean. I'll try adding a transition between land & water.

Following Jaxilon's advice, I put a transparent border around the islands so it looks like there are shallows and reefs and the islands don't look like they are floating anymore.
