The foliage texture might say "leaves" better if the sky behind didn't have the same texture.
The texture is an artifact of the scan in of white and off-white pixel. I just change the white to green or blue, didn't really create a texture for it. I thought it look good in a stylized, but not quite realistic way.
p.s. I do appreciate the advice (if it sound like I was being too defensive) but I really wasn't going for a realistic leaf pattern, maybe I should.

yep, that the store with the xxx sign. Although I built this map for the challenge with no thought of the residents so who knows what xxx means to the tree people. But when I made the sign and noticed it was a triple x I decided to put it in some out of the way place, just like all our xxx stores.
