You are looking down into an alien purgatory called the Circle of Eight - Lower Levels of Anguish. Four faces crying blood (magma) with their eyes shut and four more smaller faces have been carved into the rocky terrain. In the small clearing in the centre will be a small figure (not done yet) splayed out as a sacrifice (to show the depth that you are looking down into - top down view).
