    hmm... im really not feeling those forests. they just seem really blobby and lacking detail. Though given the positive feedback your'e getting from everyone else, it must just be me

    I've always found drawing the forests first looks a bit odd and was banking on everything coming together after the mountains were in. I thought it was just me.

    Well, to date this are my Forests I spend the most time in creating. And I like how they feel more organic instead of stiff grafical to me. Overall they are hightly inspired by forests on Djekspek's Pit of War maps.
    @ Vorro&Chashio: You both dont like this kind of rendering I guess, and I am still experimenting a lot with this, but its another kind of style for me, more 'fantasy stuff' like. But against my initial comment I think I have to be on hiatus for a while. Time is a rare ressource lately...

    Yes, that's why I said it wouldn't be a helpful critique sort of comment... 'cause it's really just my own taste, and I think it'll look better once you've added mountains and everything else.
