Thread: January Entry: Mediterranean Sailing Map

With some compass grids.

I was wondering where this was going when you first posted the placeholder map. Looking forward to see where and what you are going place on this. Having just the familiar continental outline and the compass rose, set on the Near Eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. I'm intrigued to see where this goes.

Is there a imagined date this ancient map is supposed to represent? Or is that a secret for later in this thread?

It's quite an organic process at the moment. There are hardly any plans so far. So I'm not sure what era the map is going to end up in. Probably around 1800. I'm borrowing from these sort of maps. Possibly I'll change it into an alternative universe map.

I've never heard the "Atlantis in western africa" theory before
If you're gonna do it alternate history style, why not throw in a few cool things like atlantis.

I have found that I just don't have the time to finish this map. So I'm bowing out of the competition.
