So, knowing that there is little hope that I can compete with the lovely interior maps already demonstrated by others, I am taking a different tack. This map will focus on the areas surrounding the monastery, with attention paid to the tactical circumstances.
Since clerics usually have demonstrable power in a fantasy setting, the capture of a monastery would not go unnoticed. Therefore, there is likely to be some sort of military activity in the surrounding lands as either the church or the secular army prepares to drive the cult out.
I'll leave it to the Plotstorming folks to decide why the cult chose this site and what exactly they're doing inside.
So, here is a silhouette of the monastery grounds. I doubt I will provide any information about the interior of the buildings.
Here's the start of my terrain map and some roads, created by following Pyrandon's city map tutorial in Corel PhotoPaint 8. At this point, I am thinking that I'll import the terrain into CC3 and build the villages and battle symbols there. We shall see.
