Great Recource!
Just joined and I'm amazed at the amount of really cool maps!
I play mostly D&D miniatures and 4.0 on occasion.
My interest is mostly 1"x1" battle maps and game tiles. I recently started my first battlemap.
I've been using The GIMP for years but didn't know how powerful it was until I saw some of the tutorials here!

I didn't even imagine that GIMP could make maps until I came to the guild. I used to think that you had to be a super-duper artist or have a barely know program with a massive file size.

GIMP is indeed a great tool, and on top of it all it's FREE!
