    Hi, I'm a basic user of Gimp & Ubuntu (no photoshop CS for me), after having, for a long time, practiced pixel-by-pixel drawing & image manipulation on a very old computer.
    I currently have several graphical illustration projects, amongst which the detailed map of a fantasy world, for which I'm still in the designing phase.
    I know I've still a lot of work ahead of me, but I spied several excellent maps here, and I know that I can learn from them as well as from their creators - this is why I joined. I want to read the tutorials, watch, learn, and do myself.
