Thread: Hey folks

Just thought I'd quickly introduce myself, I'm Oswiu.

I visited this site a few years having bought a copy of CC3, my intention was to map the fantasy world that a group of friends and I game in. However I found the learning curve to be quite steep; I'm not artistic nor a great one for detailed manuals; so there were many abortive starts and eventually I put it aside with the intention of returning to it later but I never did.

That was until I stumbled into Joe Sweeney's youtube excellent guide a few days ago, suddenly the interface seemed less confusing and I was able to knock up a few maps pretty quickly. That spurred me on to google about and I found this site again, many of the maps I've seen in the gallery are exactly the type and styles I'm hoping to make, knowing this was the place I need to be I signed up straight away.

I've already started gleening through the tutorials and am hoping to learn much and if possible give something back to the guild. Not sure how much of that I'll be able to do, there are some seriously talented people here.

I have added one of the maps I've done so far, I know the fonts are wrong and I'm still getting to grips with the sheets function, but any construction criticism would be appreciated.
