    Default Hello to all

    Hi everyone,
    I've been a lurker here for a few weeks and i thought I'd get around to finally posting and contributing. I'm a map maker by both hobby and profession. I got an undergrad degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with a specialty in Cartography. I'm not working directly in the field of study yet since i recently graduated but hope to have a job in the next few months. I'm a D&D gamer and I produce a lot of gaming maps for my and many friends games. Fantasy mapping has been a hobby for several years now. I recently got some of the ProFantasy software and have been dabbling for a bit. I'll post some of my maps soon. I look forward to getting ideas, feedback and tips on alternative software to use. It's great to meet other fantasy mappers.

    Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.
