Carstairs, you're mad!
Started gaming when I was 12; looking back, most of what I did was create maps, worlds, cultures, languages, etc. I started mapping on an Apple 2c. Not a gamer anymore but I find myself drawing a world on a paper plate or pizza box and extrapolating societies and races and conceptual frameworks to give it meaning. I guess I'm really a writer at heart but I'm no good at writing. I'm registering mostly because I can't seem to see a lot of the maps otherwise. I'll try to contribute from time to time but you know how it is.

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.
