I use AutoRealm, along with Map Maker 3 Gratis on occasion. I also play over at dndonlinegames.com.

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.

Thanks for the welcomes, guys. I'm still learning, but here's a couple of samples of what I've done so far. These are the seond and third maps I've made so far. Amateurish, I know, but still a good beginning. On the first map, I couldn't figure out how to do a faded "unknown beyond this point" effect, so I just made a black line to indicate the edge of the map.
The first one is a "zoomed-in" area of the first. Both were made in AutoRealm.
Nice work. I don't know anything about Autorealm so I can't really offer advice but, I can give you some rep
