User intro
Hi there... I have been playing D&D for several decades now & GM'ing for over a decade. I have been in the process of mapping my own unique Fantasy World since 1995. The creative process as well as the actual mapping of those ideas is slow, but thanks to modern technology - with luck I might get it close to finished before I die? FYI, my world's (planet) is Khelir and 12k mi. from pole to pole & 24k mi. circumference around the equator. My map has been complete enough in at least rough draft) to have led my players through adventures there for the last 5 years.
It is wonderful to have such awesome tools at my disposal!

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.
