i'm currently creating maps for two fantasy stories i'm writing but the only apllication on my computer i have is paint. I've started drawing them on paper but I'd like to draw them on the computer with something better than Paint. Any advice?
Get thee to The Gimp, it's a free raster program like Paint with many more bells and whistles and a huge user base throughout the world...that means lots of tutorials to follow and learn from. Low cost alternative is Paint Shop Pro, like around $50 US. High-end is Corel and Photoshop, among others. For vectors Inkscape is free.
