    Welcome to the Guild ! As Steel said, there's a lot of tutorials to choose from. Pick one that leads toward a style you like, and work your way through it. Then another... If you post as you go in a Work In Progress thread you can get input from the 3.2 gazillion guildsters here on how well you're doing and what might be done differently to improve. What software do you have access to?

    Well I have Paint.net at the moment. I do have something called Corel Paintshop Photo Pro X3, although I'm pretty new to it (got it from a friend). I'll check out those tutorials, I need to learn how to draw better maps or the setting I'm working on will get nowhere.
