Thread: Hello! Newbie here!

Hello Guildies! I stumbled on this site a few weeks ago completely by accident, and I was blown away. I had no idea there was a community like this! I've been lurking in the forums, drooling over the amazing work of the members, and I've since dusted off some old maps I had stopped working on and started to make them pretty.

I use Ubuntu and so use GIMP for my maps, but I have found it tough to get the same effects I used to get in Photoshop. I've found a few tutorials that I plan on working my way through and eventually I will (hopefully) feel confident enough about them to post a couple of examples.
