Cheers folks! I've been a long time lurker, finally inspired to make a map by the February challenge. I love seeing all of the tutorials and tricks that other mappers have posted. This site is an incredible resource. Thanks to all of you! I look forward to participating more in the challenges and posting other maps.

I do some "real" mapping of small acreage around my house, and I love dressing up aerial photos with designs for gardens, orchards, houses, etc. A lot of that work is done in service of a non-profit I run called ISLAND. I'm also interested in finding ways for maps to tell stories without lots of words.

I look forward to being a more active member of the guild. So hello!
