Thread: Longtime conworlder in London

Hello! I've been drawing maps of my own fantasy universe since I was a kid. I remember my friends moaning that you could tell a bad fantasy novel because it had a map at the front - and though I often agreed, I do love the maps of imagine worlds. It just amazes me how bad some of those published maps are, with rivers flowing uphill and totally implausible geography!

I stumbled on Cartographers Guild whilst googling for advice about mapping in Photoshop and CC3, and I'm totally impressed by the standard of maps you guys are producing. I thought mine were good but I'm going to have to rework mine before I dare publish them! Perhaps I might just call them WIP...

I have a combination of hand-drawn maps which I've remodelled in Fractal Terrains and polished up in Photoshop, I might post some of them if I'm feeling brave!
