Hello,
I thought I would introduce myself. My name is James and I currently live in Maryland, USA. I'm a Captain in the US Army, but prior to this profession I was a land surveyor for eight years. I enjoy old land surveys and am mostly interesting in hand drawn maps (does anyone here do that? Seems mostly digital these days).
Anyhow, great to see so many people share my same interests.
BTW: I also enjoy programming in C++/C# and working on 3D models from time to time.

I believe there are some very talented folks here doing some hand drawn maps. You might find some examples if you browse through the 'Finished Maps' section. Looking forward to seeing your work.
