    Default Hail Fellow Cartographers!

    Hey there everyone.

    Name's Nilmandir. I'm kind of new at the world building thing, but this place looks like a good starting point. I can figure out the names of place, the people who live there, and even the local economy. I totally suck at making maps. Anyway, just wanted to say hello.


    BTW: The name. It was the 4th level Elf Barbarian (don't ask) in a D&D campaign I played in high school. It's been over 20 years and the thing is stuck to me like glue.

    Welcome Nilmandir, you have come to the right place to improve your map-making skills. Allot of people come here doubting their abilities and, upon engaging the tutorials here, find that they are capable of creating maps that far exceed their expectations. So my recommendation would be to peruse the tutorials section, find one you like, and start mapping! Another good place to start is to read Rav's "Quickstart Guide to Fantasy Mapping" located in the sticky of the Member Introductions section.
