Howdy
Greetings all. I am currently interested in generating maps for the various role playing games I play. Chief among them are Pathfinder, and Traveller. I run the site TravellerHighport.com which is a traveller trade engine. You can currently enter the name of a planet in the Traveller universe (it will autocomplete for you), look up it's statistics and other info, and initiate trade between worlds. It's a GM time saver. Feel free to check it out.
My current interest is fleshing out some the sites functionality. I'm looking to add some simplistic maps and that's why I decided to popup here. Ideas are welcomed.

Hi there Ark, welcome to the Guild! Have a look around the Tutorials sections and you'll find tons of cartography tutorials. There are somewhat less planet systems tutorials (though I think there may be one or two). Also, I know that Deviantart has quite a few tutorials on planetary mapping. Best of luck to you.

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.
